Homagama Divisional Child Development Committee Meeting was held recently under the patronage of Divisional Secretary Mr. B.A.D Chinthaka at the Auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat.
The issues faced by the children in the division were discussed and the Legal Aid Commission Legal Officer, Legal Aid Commission Legal Officer Punya Kudakolawa conducted an awareness program on the legal services that the Legal Aid Commission can provide to the aggrieved children and women as well as the community.
Assistant Divisional Secretary Mr.B.S Kekulawala, Probation Officer, Administrative Grama Niladhari Ruwan Thilaka, Grama Niladhari of the Divisional Secretariat, Police Officers of the Children and Women's Unit of the Police Stations in the Homagama Division, Health Officers and Field Officers were present at the occasion.
The program was organized by Mrs. Tejanthi Weerasena and Mrs. Dhammika Swarnaseeli, Child Rights Promotion Officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
