An awareness program was held on August 30th (30) for the students of 9th, 10th and 11th grades of Habarakada Junior College under Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division about skill-based drug prevention and physical and mental changes that occur in teenagers.
Miss Priyadarshini Rathnayake from the Prevention Education and Training Division of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board contributed resources to this program.
Lt. Col. Mayadunna, Principal of Habarakada Junior College, and the teaching staff of the Economic, Social and Welfare Affairs Office of the Rehabilitation Commissioner General Bureau, Colombo District, also participated in this program.
This program was organized by Mrs. Rashi Prabha Welgedara, Drug Prevention Assistant of Office Drug Prevention Division on the advice of Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B. A. D. Chinthaka.
