A World Children's Day celebration organized by the women's work organization of Kadanawatta Grama Niladhari Division of Homagama Divisional Secretariat was organized for the first time recently at Kadanawatta Village under the patronage of the Divisional Secretary Mr. B. A. D. Chinthaka.
The event was attended by political leaders, officials of government and non-government institutions, business donors and local residents.
The ceremony was beautiful with children singing, playing and dancing.
]The parental worship that was developed to bring the parents closer to the children was praised by everyone.
Seventy (70) children participated in this event and every child was given valuable gifts by the Mission of Hope organization.
The event was organized by the Kadanawatta Women's Work Organization in coordination with the Vanita Development Officer and the Vanita Development Field Assistant Officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
