In conjunction with the rural economic and revitalization program, a special awareness program for teenage girls was conducted on 2022-12-06 at Homagama President's College to "reduce underage marriages and prevent underage pregnancies".
The organization of this program was conducted by Mrs. Dinusha Jayamali, Counseling Officer of Homagama Presidential College, with the aim of providing a helping hand to the well-being of adolescent girls in the face of various, heterogeneous and problematic situations in today's society.
Mrs. Dhammika Swarnaseeli, Principal, Deputy Principal, Teaching Staff and Child Rights Promotion Officer of the college participated in this program which was conducted for daughters studying in the 9th grade of Homagama President College.
Child Rights Promotion Officer Mrs. B.V.S. Tejanthi provided resourcefulness for this and the daughters who participated in the program were given the opportunity to watch the children's movie "Diyani".
