Homagama Jaltara Samurdhi Kekulu Children's Club A leadership training workshop for girls was held at Jaltara Seva Piyasa Premises recently.
Programs to improve leadership skills along with group activities, drug prevention, entertainment and counseling programs along with bonfire show are the programs implemented for the children on this day.
Colonel Calum Mayadunna, Colombo District Coordinator of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Commissioner General, Supun Udana, Information Technology Assistant of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board, Musician Damith Nandana and Sarvoda leaders contributed resources to the leadership training workshop.
Homagama Divisional Secretariat Accountant Mr. P.R. Kuruppu Acchige, Colombo District Samurdhi Director Mr. Ashoka Kumara, Megoda Samurdhi Bank Manager Mr. A.R. Rupasinghe, Sarvodaya Colombo District Social Program Coordinator Mrs. Amila Wettasinghe and other officials. Officials from Browns, Lanka Tiles and other organizations who contributed to the program, Cultural Officer of the Regional Secretariat Ms. Thisaru Kottage, Child Rights Promotion Officer Ms. Dhammika Swarnaseeli, Samurdhi Development Officers, Village Officer of Jalthara Village, Development Officer and Agricultural Research Production Assistant Officer, Jalthara Samurdhi Community Foundation Officials of the organization and Sarvodaya Shramadana Samiti officials participated in the program on this day.
This leadership training workshop was organized under the leadership of Jaltara Samurdhi Development Officer Mrs. Chandrika Samanmali with the support of Samurdhi Community Foundation and Sarvodaya Shramadana Samiti.
