As a community service project, the Homagama - Katuwana Bypass Road, which has been newly carpeted by the Highway Development Authority in order to avoid the constant traffic jams at the Homagama - Katuwana intersection, is a tree planting program to provide shade and clean air to the environment 2023.09.23 Days were held at that premises.
For this program which was led by a number of invited guests including the Homagama Divisional Secretary, 100 bamboo saplings and kumbuk saplings recommended by the Urban Development Authority were given by the office of the Forest Officer, and the saplings were planted with the intervention of the scout troop children.
Under the supervision of the Divisional Secretary and the Assistant Divisional Secretary, this program was coordinated by Katwana division Village Officer, Land Use Planning Development Officer, Development Officer (Local Medicine), Ayurveda Conservation Council.
