In conjunction with the International Poverty Eradication Day on October 17, the Samurdhi Development Department, under the leadership of Homagama Samurdhi Community Primary Bank Association, on the occasion of October 18 named "Entrepreneurship Development Day" under the implementation of Samurdhi programs during the week from October 17 to October 23. In Homagama Division, Meegoda, Homagama, Pitipana, Mattegoda and Polgasovita, Samurdhi Praja Moola Bank provided various types of loans, including passenger savings loans, youth incentive loans, revolving loans, to bank member entrepreneurs.
Samurdhi Development Officers including Samurdhi Praja Mula Bank Samiti Manager of the five (5) Homagama Samurdhi Community Banks, and Samurdhi Development Officers, organized the issuance of these loans.
