On the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly, in conjunction with the Maha Sangharatnaya Sanghik Dhanamaya Pinkama and a charity offering for the elderly was held on 25.10.2023 at Navalamulla Sammatharama Temple.
The participation of the elders of Navalamulla, Walpita, Batawala, Atigala, Henawatta village officials was held for this purpose.
Office Social Services Division, Navalamulla Village Officer, Navalamulla Development Officer, Batawala Village Officer and Navalamulla Samurdhi Officer coordinated the program.
For this, Padukka "Sinha" Club, Batawala "Aruna Thakin Mithru Haula" and businessmen Mr. Aruna Kumara gave the sponsorship contribution.
More than 120 Detu residents participated in this charity event, which was organized by the Office Social Services Division under the guidance of the Divisional Secretary.
