A program to educate community reformers about drug prevention and healthy living, organized with the aim of eradicating the rapid growth of drug use and the consequent deterioration of personal life and social degradation, was organized on 08-29-2024 at the auditorium of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat was held.
Homagama Assistant Regional Secretary Mr. Chamal D.Thenuwara, resourcefulness for this program was provided by Mr. Buddhika Lakmal, Community Access Officer of Asia Lanka Foundation.
Here, community reformers were informed about the importance of overcoming drug addiction and sexually transmitted diseases, and blood tests for HIV and social diseases were conducted in Nomle.
For this occasion, the participation of the community corrections officer and office officials of the Homagama Community Corrections Office was requested.
On the guidance of the Divisional Secretary, this program was organized by the Office Development Officers (Community Reforms), Development Officer (Drug Prevention), External Services and Counseling Officer (Dangerous Drug Control National Board).
