The training program on durian cultivation organized with the aim of directing the community to durian cultivation, which is a fruit crop that is full of nutritional value, has high market demand and can be commercially profitable, was held recently at the Kananwila Fruit Research and Development Institute.
Here, Assistant Director of Agriculture (Research) H.M.L. introduced about durian cultivation, field establishment, crop maintenance and pollination of durian flowers. Mr. Niran Assistant Director of Agriculture (Research) M. Mrs. Kuruppu, Assistant Director of Agriculture (Research) Mr. I.K.Athapattu was resourceful to raise awareness about pests in durian cultivation.
