A community-based drug prevention program to educate and empower women about the drug problem was recently held for the women of Meegoda, Hettiyawatte Division.
Small Business Development Officer Mrs. Diana Dinali, Aquaculture Development Officer Mrs. T.G.D.M. Gunawardena, Community Corrections Development Officer Mrs. G.V.N.P Jayaratne and Mrs. J.A.W. Jayasinghe and Child Rights Promotion Officer Dhammika Swarnaseeli Magathmi provided resources for this program.
This program, which was organized with the aim of uplifting the living standards of the rural community and empowering them to build a drug-free tomorrow, was organized by the Drug Prevention Development Officer, Mrs. Hansika Medawaka, and the External Services and Counseling Officer (Drugs), Mrs. P.A.N. Padmasiri, under the supervision of the Divisional Secretary.
