The celebration program organized by the Homagama Divisional Secretariat for the 2025 World Environment Day was held on 2025.06.05 at the Kirigampamunuwa "Sanhinda" Elders' Home premises. This celebration program consisted of several stages.
1. Community awareness program regarding the health threats posed by the use and misuse of plastic
2. Tree planting program
3. Shramadana for cleaning around the "Sanhinda" Elders' Home for the control of dengue
These were the programs.The support and participation of the Community Corrections Officers, the Detu Citizens' Community, and the Women's Balamandala members were received for this.
In organizing these programs, Ayurvedic Medical Officer Mrs. Esmika Pathirana provided resources to educate the community.
In organizing this program, the Office Environment Officer organized this program with the support and coordination of the Kirigampamunuwa Division Development Officer, Grama Niladhari, two Office Community Corrections Officers, Indigenous Medical Development Officer, Social Service Officer (SSO), and Women's Development Officer.
