A charity event was held on 2025.08.02 with the aim of promoting religious cooperation, personal unity and friendship between the two Grama Niladhari Divisions of Godagama North and Godagama South.
The specialty of this event is that the charity prepared for the same meal recipe in 350 houses of donors in both Godagama North and Godagama South Grama Niladhari Divisions was offered to the Maha Sangha at the same time.
All the activities were organized by the Chief Incumbent of Godagama Purana Viharaya, Most Venerable Kotigala Nandarathana Thero. The residents of Godagama North and Godagama South contributed resources for this and all these activities were coordinated and organized by the Godagama North Development Officer, Mr. Wijayantha Laksiri.
