Chairman of Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha Mr. Sampath Chaminda Jayasinghe, People's Representatives of the Pradeshiya Sabha, Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture D.M.L Bandaranayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs N.H.M Chithrananda, Director General of the Samurdhi Development Department Bandula Thilakasiri, District Secretary / Government Agent Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne participated in the auspicious occasion on March 29 at 9.18 am at the home of Mr. Jagath Kumara Abeysinghe in the Kahathuduwa South Grama Niladhari Division of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat.
Packets of vegetable plants and vegetable seeds were distributed to home gardeners. It is expected to start and develop 2.2 million home gardens island wide under the 'Haritha Deyak' home gardening program.
