Keeping in mind the aim of creating new entrepreneurs in the field of garden decoration, the training program on garden decoration jointly organized by the Department of Manpower and Security and the Homagama Regional Secretariat started on 09.07.2023.
For the beneficiaries who completed this 15-day training program with theoretical knowledge and practical activities, the field study training organized to provide further understanding of the relevant field was conducted on 13-10-2023 at Senarathgoda Botanical Garden, Gampaha.
Separately, this course, planned by the Department of Manpower and Security, is an employment-oriented course, so the primary objective of this course was to enable new entrepreneurs in many fields related to park management through the subjects covered.
As one of the practical activities of this training, a study tour is conducted in a national park, where, through the resourcefulness of the National Botanical Gardens Department, the trainees were informed practically through this field study tour.
26 trainees participated in this and the coordination contribution was done by the office human resource officer.
