Colombo District Secretariat, "Chrysalis" Foundation and Women's Affairs Division of Homagama Divisional Secretariat organized under the project to ensure food security, distribution of nutritional bags worth 6500 rupees to 300 low-income families affected by various problems under the chairmanship of Colombo District Secretary / Governor Mr. K.G. Wijesiri, it was held on 19-12-2023 in the auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat.
In the face of the current challenging economic situation, the Colombo District Secretary Mr. K.G. Wijesiri, Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B.A.D. Chinthaka, Assistant Regional Secretary Mr. B.S. Kekulawala, "Chrysalis" Foundation Project Manager Mr. Sudan Baskaran and Colombo District Secretariat Vanitha Development Officer Mrs. Anuradha Mayadunna participated.
Beneficiaries were selected for this program under the direction and supervision of the Divisional Secretary by the women's work organizations of the division.
A financial allocation of Rs. 1,950,000/- was used for this purpose and the sponsorship was given by "chrysalis" foundation.
The program was organized by the Women's Development Officer and the Women's Development Field Assistant of the Divisional Secretariat, and the regional women's power board provided the sponsorship for the necessary organizational support and invited prizes.
