Colombo District "Local Food Promotion and Ayurvedic Exhibition" organized by the Ministry of Health, Homagama Divisional Secretariat, Homagama Ayurvedic Conservation Council and Community Health Unit was successfully held at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat premises. It was held on the day.
In link to this program organized with the aim of making local food and drinks that we inherited as Sri Lankans to more people, success in the Ayurvedic medicine system and instill its value to the community,

- Ayurvedic beauty workshop
- Local food exhibition and sales
- Osu plants exhibition and sale as well
- Awareness programs for Ayurvedic medical students were conducted under huge public participation.
Mr.Chandana Thilakaratne, Additional Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of Health's Local Medical Division, Director (Development) P. Dayananda, Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B.A.D.Chinthaka, Assistant Divisional Secretary Mr.Chamal D.Thenuwara, Community Health Officer Dr. Mathaji Dissanayake, Dr. Anoja Herath, Dr. Dilip Ginige and many members of the Homagama Ayurveda Conservation Council and other officials participated.
The participation of medical students of the local medical faculty of the University of Colombo, school students of Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division as well as development officers covering all Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Colombo District and the community of Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division was also required for this purpose.
