A special lottery draws organized with the aim of raising funds for the award of scholarships to students studying under the aesthetic subject streams for the G.C.E. (A/L.) examination from low-income families in the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division was held recently at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat premises.
Winners were selected for the first, second and third places as well as for a number of valuable prizes.
The "Prathiba" scholarship program is a unique social mission organized by the Cultural Division of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat and the Homagama Regional Cultural Authority.
This program was organized by the office's cultural division under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary, and scholarship-winning students and artists participated in this event.
