Commemorating the Poson festival when the Buddha Mahinda Mahimya came to this country with Buddhism, the "Poson Bathi Gee Saraniya" organized by the Homagama Divisional Secretariat in conjunction with the National Poson Festival was held on 2025-06-06 at the Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.
The Honorable Secretary of the Homagama Hewagam Korala Shasanarakshaka Board, Venerable Kotigala Nandarathana Himyan, the Honorable Secretary of the Udugahapattu Shasanarakshaka Board, Miriswatte Indasiri Thero, the Honorable Chairman of the Homagama Regional Coordination Committee, Member of Parliament Aruna Panagoda, the Honorable Chairman of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha Kasun Ratnayake, the Homagama Divisional Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, the main staff, religious places in the area and various organizations participated in this event.
Officers representing various departments of the office, the Godagama Purana Viharastha Dhamma School, the Cultural Balamandala, the Women's Balamandala, the Elders Balamandala and the Katuwana Saint Michael the Archangel Church choir joined in singing devotional songs.
The Department of Culture provided sponsorship for the sound broadcasting activities, and this program was organized by office officials under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary and with the conceptual contribution of the Assistant Divisional Secretary.
