The first step of a special training program to sensitize Economic Development Officers as the initial phase of preparing the environmental resource profile for the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division; was held in 2 sessions on 11.08.2025 at the small auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat.
The first lecture was delivered by the Assistant Divisional Secretary, Homagama, Mr. Chamal D. Thenuwara on the topic of Biodiversity, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Development Goals and the second lecture was delivered by the Zonal Officer of the Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority, Mr. Eranda Adhikari on the topic of Good Agricultural Principles, Agricultural Statistical Analysis, Current Agricultural Trends and Challenges.
The Economic Development Officers in charge of the respective divisions participated in this program, which is expected to be implemented as a pilot project in 20 selected divisions in the division.
