With the aim of creating a healthy community, a health clinic to diagnose non-communicable diseases was held at the Sri Sailanthara Purana Viharaya, Habarakada on 21.08.2025.

At this health clinic, high blood pressure tests,

blood sugar tests,

risk tests for heart disease,

Pap smear tests,

breast cancer detection tests and many other tests were conducted, as well as

eye sight and cataract removal tests.

A large number of residents of Habarakada and the surrounding areas participated in this health clinic and about 200 people were given free eyeglasses.

The staff of the Homagama Base Hospital's Non-Communicable Diseases Unit, including Dr. Bhakthi Wijeweera, the office board, the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Association's Operations Director, Mr. Gamini Nishantha, and the former General Secretary of the organization, Mrs. Kalyani Wickramasinghe, and the Family Health Officer, Mrs. Dinusha Sewwandi, representing the Homagama Medical Officer of Health Office, contributed to this great event.
