With the aim of awakening the imagination and aesthetic creative skills of school children engaged in primary education, the "Kathandara Nanda" program organized by the Cultural Division of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat with the financial provision of the Western Province Ministry of Culture and Arts was successfully conducted recently targeting the children of WP/Ho/ Kiriwatthuduwa Jayathilaka Vidyalaya and WP/Ho/ Wijewardena Maha Vidyalaya.
Here, a children's story that is most suitable for the child's mind was presented to the children in a vivid manner, and the use of the human voice in various forms was presented to the children in a practical way. The resource for this was provided by veteran radio artiste Mrs. Shyamali Livera, and more than 100 children participated.
The Principal and teaching staff of WP/HO/ Kiriwatthuduwa Jayathilaka College, the Deputy Principal and teaching staff of WP/HO/ Wijewardena Maha Vidyalaya, and the Cultural Officer (B.P.) Thisaru Kottage participated in this event.
This program was organized in coordination with the Cultural Division of the office and the teachers of the above colleges.
