In parallel with the awareness programs and Ayurvedic medical clinics conducted by the Ministry of Health's Local Medical Division on World Elderly Day, the program of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat was held at Sri Maha Bodhi Temple in Dolahena area on World Elderly Day.
The program was successfully conducted with the participation of the Assistant Director (Development) of the Local Medicine Division of the Ministry of Health. Mr. Chamal D. Thenuwara including Ministry officials, The field civil servant group in the division of twelve village officials are Village Officer, Prosperity Development Officer, Agricultural Research Production Assistant, Temple Dhamma School Headmaster, Social Service Officer of the Social Services Division of the Divisional Secretariat, Senior Rights Promotion Officer, Land Use Planning Officer, Local Ayurvedic Doctor. Development Officer, Doctors of Ayurveda Conservation Council, Doctors of Homagama Ayurveda Community Health Medical Center,members of the Elderly Society.
Planting a ‘Sudu Hadun’ plant in temple grounds was also done on this day.
