In order to improve child nutrition by identifying the nutritional needs of pre-school children, the Samurdhi Development Department has implemented morning nutrition programs targeting pre-school children in the two pre-schools "Nikini" and "Shakya" in Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division, Pitipana North, Grama Niladhari Division at October 17th. Green porridge was given to children in the village of Pitipana North.
This program was organized under the leadership of Pitipana North Samurdhi Development Officer Mrs. Renuka Damayanthi with the support of community grass root organization officials.
