In conjunction with the International Disability Day, the Homagama Divisional Secretariat's Art Festival of Children with Special Needs was held on 19-12-2022 at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Auditorium under the theme "An Accessible and Fair World".
Provincial Social Services Director Mrs. Sevwandi Hettiarachchi, Assistant Provincial Social Services Director Mrs. Bhagya Weerasinghe and Homagama Divisional Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Accountant, Deputy Director (Planning) participated as special guests for this program which was colorful with the singing and dancing of children with special needs in the division.
About 150 children with special needs and their guardians participated in this event. At the end of the art festival, prizes were distributed in recognition of their talent and motivating them.
The event, which was held with the contribution of the Provincial Social Services Department and many donors, was organized by the Office Social Services Division under the supervision of Homagama Divisional Secretary.
