Financial aid and books were distributed to 250 school students from selected low-income families in Homagama Divisional Secretariat on 04-05-2023 at the office auditorium.
The Western Province Social Services Department, Mahinda Book store and Senadheera Book store contributed to the distribution of books in this program which was held under the chairmanship of the Homagama Assistant Divisional Secretary Mr. B.S. Kekulawala.
Also, with the contribution of businessman Mr. Lalith Weerasinghe, arrangements were made to provide lunch to the children who participated in this event.
Along with this program, counseling services for children were provided by Counseling Officer Terence Athukorala and Child Rights Promotion Officer Mr. Pratapage.
The program was organized by the Office of Social Services under the supervision of the Divisional Secretary.
