Homa under the Samurdhi Housing Program (Gamaranvimana) on the occasion of the "Social Development Day" which was named as the "Social Development Day" on October 20 under the implementation of Samurdhi programs in the week from October 17 to October 23 by the Samurdhi Development Department in conjunction with the International Poverty Eradication Day on October 17. Handing over the 'Diriya' house built to the family of Mrs. W. Vasantika, resident of No. 291/2, Temple Road, Uduwana, who died with four (4) female children in Uduwana Grama Niladhari Division, Colombo District Secretary / District Governor K.G. Wijesiri, Colombo District Prosperity Director A.G.S. Ashoka Kumara, Samurdhi Development Department Social Development Assistant Director E.V.U.Pushpakumara, Divisional Secretary Mr. B.A.D.Chinthaka participated.
Ms. Nadika Pushpakumari, Uduwana Samurdhi Development Officer, constructed and handed over this home with a finished value of five lakh rupees with the contribution of six hundred and fifty thousand rupees (650,000/=) from the Samurdhi House Lottery Fund and with the help of local donors.
Officers including Ms. Eta Ilesinghe, Vajira Jayathilaka, Dayani Navaratne and Samurdhi Development Officer Nadika Lakmini of the Social Development Division of the Samurdhi Development Department, Ms. Gopika Palliaguru, the Social Development Manager of the Colombo District Secretariat, and Mr. Buddhika Weerasekera, the District Social Development Officer, Samurdhi. Bank Association Manager Ms. P.S Wevelwala, Headquarters Samurdhi Manager Ms. T.G Sriani, Pitipana Samurdhi Manager Mr. Piyananda Samankumara, Social Development Officer Ms. Kanthika Hulathduwa, Mrs. Chamila Jayatunga, Uduwana Village Officer, Pitipana Samurdhi Region Samurdhi Development Officers and Local residents participated in the handing over of the home.
