In conjunction with the Christmas festival celebrated by Christians around the world with great festivity celebrating the birth of the princes of peace, the "Kitu Bathi Gee" concert organized by the Cultural Division of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat under the auspices of the Western Provincial Ministry of Culture and Art Affairs at the Divisional Secretariat Auditorium on 20-12-2023.
In order to enhance the meaning of Christmas, love, mercy, sacrifice and equality, several main singing groups from Bodu Dhamma schools, schools and Christian churches in the division performed Christian devotional songs.
Father Thilina Samith, Divisional Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Accountant, Deputy Director (Planning), Government Officers and many artists and sons of Katuwana Holy Michael Catholic Church participated in this program, which was organized under the guidance and supervision of Homagama Divisional Secretary, celebrating the birth of Christ with great enthusiasm and pointing out the nobility of religious coexistence.
Homagama Purana Viharastha Siri Sivali Buddhist Dhamma School, Bapa/ho/ Kiriwatthuduwa Jayathilaka Junior College, Katuwana Holy Michael Dhamma School, Dikhethapma Lourdes Devamata Dhamma Dhamma School and Homagama Divisional Secretariat Choir, Homagama Cultural Authority Choir contributed by singing devotional songs.
After presenting prizes and certificates to the children who participated in the batigi singing, Santa Claus brought the Christmas Siria to the audience and distributed gifts to the crowd.
The program was organized by the cultural division of the office in collaboration with the staff of the divisional secretariat.
