The Western Province Elderly Tournament-2024 held by the Western Province Social Services Department in conjunction with the International Elderly Day was recently held at the Battaramulla "Sobadam Piyasa" premises.
There, the Homagama Elderly Council members managed to win the first place in the group singing competition section, the first place in the new creative dance section and the first place in the traditional dance section.
Developing the artistic skills of Elders citizens and training them for these competitions were carried out by Office Development Officer Mrs. Sujani Hettiarachi, Development Officer Induma Jayangani and Development Officer R.A. Denu Sarangi and Mrs. Sumana Jayatunga.
On the guidance of the Divisional Secretary, the coordination and organization of this program was carried out by the Social Services Division of the office and the High Command.
