The educational exhibition organized by the Ministry of Education, Colombo District Secretariat and Homagama Divisional Secretariat to raise awareness about the interest free student loan scheme was held on 12.10.2024 at Homagama Divisional Secretariat premises.
Additional Secretary (Non-Government Higher Education) Ministry of Education H.D. Ms. Chandima Janaki, Additional District Secretary Ms. Kanchana Gunawardena, Additional District Secretary (Lands) Ms. Kaushalya Kumari, Director (Student Loans) of the Ministry of Education Ms. SDNS Jayasena, Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr.B.A.D.Chinthaka, Assistant Regional Secretary Mr. Chamal D. Thenuwara, Padukka Divisional Secretary Mr. Sugath Sisira Kumara, Seethawaka Divisional Secretary Mrs. K.S. Dilhani, representing the Colombo District, Skill Development Officers and Human Resource Development Officers participated in the opening ceremony.
Godagama Technical College, Homagama People's Bank and Bank of Ceylon as well as 12 private universities participated in this program which was attended by many beneficiaries representing Homagama, Seethawaka, Padukka, Kesbewa, Kaduwela and Maharagama Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
The program was organized by the Office Skill Development Officers and Human Resource Development Officers under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary.
