A special awareness program organized targeting school students who appeared for the previous G.C.E. (A/L) examination was held at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat premises recently.
Here the program was organized with the aim of providing career guidance services to the students who appeared for the G.C.E. (A/L) examination, providing them with the right approach to higher education, directing them to private universities and informing them about the opportunities available for vocational training courses, This program was organized with the participation of a number of officials representing the institutions of SLT Campus, Polymath Campus, ICBT Campus, National Apprenticeship and Technical Training Authority, Technical College, Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority.
Also, Mr. Roshan Hettiarachchi, Skill Development Officer, Skill Development and Vocational Education Division, Ministry of Education, and Mr. Ananda Wijekoon, Senior Career Guidance Officer, Colombo District Coordination Officer, Department of Manpower and Employment, provided resources for this program.
This program was organized by the Skill Development Officers and Human Resource Development Officers of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary.
