With the aim of protecting the migratory fish species living in the ecosystem around the Magilin inlet, preventing garbage dumping around the Magilin inlet and minimizing illegal activities in this area, a cleaning of the area around the inlet and the installation of a notice board were held on 20.07.2025 at the Diyagama East Grama Niladhari Division.

The event was attended by Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha Member Mrs.Renuka Liyanage, OIC of Kahathuduwa Police Station Mr.Damitha Perera, Diyagama East Grama Niladhari Mrs. R.M.D.G.K.Rajasinghe, Development Officer Mrs.Jayani Pradeepika, Agricultural Research and Production Assistant Mr.Sisila Kumara and many others.

The coordination and organization of the activities were carried out by the Diyagama East Public Security Committee, Diyagama East Green Jacket Environmental Organization, and the Environmental Unit of the Kahathuduwa Police. The Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha provided resources.
