A Shramadana program to clean both sides of the road from Rilawala Junction to Jayaliyagama was carried out in Rilawala Grama Niladhari Division on 05.08.2025 in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka National Program.

The distribution of prizes and certificates to the winning children of the preschool drawing competition held in conjunction with World Environment Day was held at Sathmaga Pre-School, Katuwana Road, Homagama on 2025-08-05 under the patronage of Mrs. Nilanka Sampath, Deputy Planning Director of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat. The event was attended by Child Welfare Promotion Officer Chamari Lakmali, Environmental Development Officer Lasanthi Nugaliyadda, the headmistress of the preschool, the teaching staff and the parents of the children. An awareness program was also held to create a generation of children who love the environment.
