According to the idea of Colombo District Secretary/Diplomat Pradeep Yasaratne, the song "Navidin Sada" was written for Mrs. Sujani Madhushika Hettiarachchi, who won the first place in the "Voice of Colombo" reality song competition held among the officials of the Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Colombo District and the song "Pahan Kanuwa Yata Adurui" written by Mr. Samantha Sri Udugodage who won the second place were presented to the District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne and to the Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B. A. D. Chinthaka at the auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat on July 28y by Mrs. Taxila Nimali Wickramarachchi, a noted writer and development officer attached to the Homagama Divisional Secretariat.

The presentation of the background scenes for these songs was done by Mrs. Nadishani Padmasiri and Mr. Navod Siriwardena, two officials working in the Divisional Secretariat who are artists.
