The Homagama Divisional Secretariat conducted this mobile service on 19-11-2022 at Damseth Maha Vidyalaya, Jaltara, focusing on the villages of Jaltara and Heinpita.
This program was conducted with the aim of expanding the services provided to the community by the Divisional Secretariat more widely and making those services reach the people more effectively.
Issuance of national identity cards and adult identity cards, birth certificate activities, local and foreign jobs, vocational training opportunities, Ayurvedic medical clinics, Small business development, land problem solving, counseling services, mediation, women and children affairs, drug prevention programs, prosperity services, agriculture related activities, export development, livelihood training programs , also, the services provided by the Divisional Secretariat, including sports, in many other fields were implemented through this mobile service program.
Also, in conjunction with this event, the social service department of the office provided wheelchairs to the disabled community in the respective domains, the child development department distributed book sets to needy school children and a goods market was held with the participation of the entrepreneurs of the department in coordination with the small business department of the office.
People participated more in the Ayurvedic medical clinic, which was conducted with blood sugar testing, hypertension testing and medication for ailments, and the contribution of Homagama Community Health Medical Unit and Meegoda Ayurvedic Hospital was received for this. Along with this, "Vision Care(r)" institute also conducted a free eye clinic for the community.
Organizations including Hanwella Police, Government and various private institutions, Elderly Associations, Sarvodaya, Samurdhi Association supported this program and on the guidance of Homagama Divisional Secretary, this mobile service program was organized for the fourth time by the Field Officer Division.
Also, the Village Officer, Development Officer, Samurdhi Development Officer, K.R.P.N.S officials of Heinpita and Jaltara domains provided organizational support for this work.
The Divisional Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Assistant Director (Planning), officers of the main domain, field officers, development officers, relevant officers deputing various departments of the institution, multi-purpose development assistants and others participated in this.
