The Food Security and Livelihood Development Emergency Assistance Project, the first program of the series of programs started for low-income unskilled young women in Colombo district with the aim of creating a female workforce in trained professions under the Asian Development Bank assistance program, was conducted very successful on 31.07.2023 at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.

 

As the target group of the program, 60 young women from women's work organizations in Sitawaka, Padukka, Homagama divisional secretariats were involved in this program.

Ms. Champa Upasena, Director of the Sri Lanka Women's Bureau of the Ministry of Women, Children Affairs and Social Empowerment, Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B.A.D. Chintaka, , Assistant Director Ms. Subhani Jayasekara, Director - (Vocational Guidance and Promotion) Mr. E. A. D. Senaratne, Senior Training Officer Mr. Chamira Samaradira and Vanita Development Officers of the District Secretariat and Seethawaka, Padukka, Homagama Divisional Secretariats and Homagama Vanita Development Field Assistants participated in this program.
