In conjunction with the National Literary Festival, the Homagama Divisional Literary Arts Festival was held on 27-09-2023 at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.
This year's main literary lecture based on folk music was given by veteran musician Wisharada Anupriya, prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners of the schools and open sections who participated in literary competitions, as well as traditional and creative dances and instruments presented by local art institutions. The festival was colorful.
It was a special occasion to present the Homagama Vibhuti Award, which is given in appreciation of the work done for the arts, to Mrs. Rangavedini Sandhya Sepali, make-up artist Mrs. Gayani Satarasinghe and dancer Mr. Nilan Maligaspe.
Representing the Colombo District Secretary, the Assistant District Secretary, Chief Accountant, Divisional Secretaries of the Colombo District, representing government and private institutions, as well as many distinguished guests, the Regional Literary Arts Festival held with the participation of artistic and interesting people, under the guidance of the Homagama Divisional Secretary and the Assistant Divisional Secretary and organized by the local cultural authority.
