Homagama Divisional Secretariat Women's Affairs Division and Homagama Divisional Women's Community with the participation of Susadi, Homagama Divisional Women's Council General Assembly meeting was held on 2024.02.07 in the office auditorium with the participation of the Assistant Divisional Secretary.
In this program held with the participation of 45 women's work organizations, activities were organized to present the progress of the programs carried out by each women's work organization monthly and the program plans expected to be implemented in the future.
In addition, the Sri Lanka Women's Bureau, the District Secretariat and the Divisional Secretariat planned the programs, awareness and women's day ceremony planned on this occasion.
In order to motivate women for gardening, awareness about the gardening program was carried out by the Agriculture Development Officer as per the instructions of the Assistant Divisional Secretary.
Furthermore, Sri Lanka Insurance Company Representative, Group Leader Mr. Kumarasiri and Insurance Consultant Ms. Manel Gunathilaka conducted an awareness raising for women's work organization members with the aim of introducing alternative ways of generating income.
This program was coordinated and supervised by the Vanita Development Officer and the Vanita Development Field Assistant.
