A community awareness program on the ability to find positive solutions to problems, issues and disputes through generating alternatives, conflict management through emotion management and the mediation process, and its legal background, was held recently at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Auditorium with practical activities.
This program, which was held targeting Community Corrections Order recipients, was facilitated by the Mediation Development Officer of the Office, Mrs. K.D. Himali Katugampala.
Similarly, awareness on drug prevention was also provided in connection with this program, and the facilitator for this was provided by the Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation Development Officer, Mrs. Hansika Medivaka.
This program was organized and coordinated by the office's Community Corrections Development Officers under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary.
