Another program in the series of programs to control the spread of dengue and chikungunya diseases was held on 19.07.2025 at the Piyarathanaramaya Temple in the East Grama Niladhari Division of Mattegoda on 19.07.2025.
Kahatuduwa Health Medical Officer Dhanuka Dharmaraja, District Regional Administration Public Health Inspector J.D.V.P Wijesuriya, Public Health Inspector E.D.V.P. Vidarshana provided resources for this, The community was informed about the infection and prevention of dengue and chikungunya diseases, and how the spread of disease-carrying mosquitoes can be controlled through 'garbage management'.
Special Grade Nursing Officer Mrs. Deepika Jayasena and Family Health Service Officer Mrs. N P Jayasuriya participated in the program as guests, while the program was organized and coordinated by the students of the Faculty of Nursing of the University of Colombo and the Divisional Development Officer Mrs. D K S Kumari.
