The program to provide goods and equipment to 36 selected members of women's work organizations who are facing various problems and are engaged in small or self-employment, under the coordination of the Qatar Charity Foundation District Secretariat in collaboration with the State of Qatar, was held on 21.07.2025 at the Marine Grand Banquet Hall premises with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government, Mr. Ruwan Senarath, Colombo District Secretary, Mr.Ginige Prasanna Janaka Kumara, Additional District Secretary, Mrs. Kanchani Gunawardena and the Qatar Charity Foundation of the State of Qatar.
Seven women representing the Homagama Division were given symbolic prizes for sewing machines, grinder machines and other equipment. The rest of the equipment and goods are scheduled to be provided in the near future under the coordination of the District Secretariat.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary, the Women's Development Officer and the Women's Development Field Assistant coordinated the selection of beneficiaries and this program.
