Divisional Secretariat - Homagama

A program to repair the broken school shoes of school students, which will be a source of strength for school students with economic difficulties, was recently held at Homagama Damseth Maha Vidyalaya, Jalthara Kanishta Vidyalaya and Lenagala Kanishta Vidyalaya.

Members of the Homagama Regional Elders' Council and the Rural Elders' Committees affiliated to the Homagama Divisional Secretariat held an awareness program on "Dementia" disease recently at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.

The Ayurvedic medical clinic organized with the participation of traditional indigenous doctors at the "Thusitha" Elderly Home in Mattegoda to improve the health of the elderly was held on 2025-02-27 at the premises of the elderly home.

The Homagama Clean Sri Lanka Inaugural Ceremony was held on 2025/02/28 at 8.00 am at the Homagama Haritha Uyana premises (Old Bus Stand) under the patronage of the Honourable Chairman of the Regional Coordination Committee, Colombo District Member of Parliament, Mr. Aruna Panagodage.

The "Stress-free Living Counselling Program", organized in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka Program with the aim of creating a healthy community, was successfully held at the Homagama Rural Women's Training Centre recently. The program, which was conducted with the participation of more than 50 beneficiaries, was facilitated by the Office Counselling Officer, Mr. Terence Athukorala.
