Ceylon Electricity Board, Ministry of Power and Energy and the Ministry of Samurdhi jointly look forward to Samurdhi recipients without household electricity.Inauguration Ceremony of Homagama Division in line with the National Program to provide Free Electricity to Registered Low Income People 2021-03-20 at the Sunil Perumbuli Hall of the Wilfred Senanayake Stadium in  Homagama under the patronage of the Hon. Chairman of the  Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha Sampath Jayasinghe.   Hon. Deputy Chairman of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha Bandula Ranjan Ileperuma and all the members of the Pradeshiya Sabha.Minister of Trade Cabinet Coordinating Secretary to Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, Siripala Devamulla, Public Engineering Front, Sri LankaMr. Palitha  Kumara, Homagama Electricity Ms. Jeewanthi Chandrasekara, Engineer, Mrs. Nilanka Sampath, Assistant Director, Planning, Homagama Divisional Secretariat;Including Samurdhi Development Officers 
Eligible to provide free electricity connection for other activities including internal wiring in the homes.Arrangements will also be made to provide a "Samurdhi Aloka" loan through Samurdhi Community Based Banks at a concessionary interest rate for expenses incurred.

A Blood Donation Camp was held on 2021-03-24 at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat premises.

The Coordinating Committee of Homagama Divisional Secretariat was held on 01.03.2021 under the chairmanship of Hon. Minister of Trade Dr. Bandula Gunawardena and Hon. Deputy Chairman of the Western Provincial Council Janaka Weliwatta at the Auditorium of Homagama Divisional Secretariat. Hon. Members of the Western Provincial Council, Hon. Members including the Hon. Chairman of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha, Homagama Divisional Secretary, Assistant Director (Planning), Development Officers, Grama Niladharis, Samurdhi Development Officers, Agricultural Research Production Assistants and Field Officers and other Government Institutions attended.
