With the aim of improving the health of women and protecting them from non-communicable diseases, a breast cancer screening clinic and awareness program targeting a group of about 40 women in the area, including members of the Prajapati Women's Action Organization in Siddamulla South Grama Niladhari Division, was conducted at the Sangharama Child and Maternity Clinic on 23.10.2025.

For this, Dhanuka Dharmaraja, Health Medical Officer of the Kahathuduwa Health Medical Officer's Office, Additional Health Doctor Shamila, Public Health Officer D.N.S. Athugala, Administrative Family Health Service Officer Nayanakanti, Kudamaduwa Divisional Family Health Service Officer AJ P Weerasinghe, Siddamulla South Family Health Service Officer N.K.C Malkanti and K.J.M Lanka provided resources, while Development Officer H.R.N.R. Sanjeevani, officers of Prajapathi Women's Work Organization and Agricultural Research and Production Assistant Officer Rupeeka Dayani organized and coordinated the program.

A program called "Sihina Lanka" was held at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat on 23/10/2025 with the aim of sharing the experiences of people with disabilities who have taken up employment and motivating people with disabilities who are looking for employment.

A Deepavali celebration organized to enhance the meaning of the Deepavali festival, which is celebrated with great fervor by the Hindu community around the world, was held recently at the Mattegoda Vidyadeepa College premises to instill the concept of reconciliation among school students.

More than 150 school students participated in this event, and the resourcefulness for this was provided by the Language Instructor, Mr. Indika Wijesinghe. This program was organized by the Office National Integration Officer, Mrs. L.P.S. Prasadika, under the guidance of the Divisional Secretary, with the support of the Ministry of Justice and National Integration.

On the occasion of the annual Kathina Puja at the West Sri Sarana Dhamma Viharaya in Mattegoda on 24.10.2025, a Shramadana program was organized to clean the temple grounds using the labor contribution of the community correction convicts on 22.10.2025.

In parallel, a Bodhi Pooja and a Dhamma sermon were held under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of the Mattegoda Sri Sarana Dhamma Viharaya, Venerable Hanguranketha Wimaladhamma Thero, for the spiritual development of the orderees, and an awareness program was held with the resources of Public Health Inspector G.P.H.P. Manjula to improve the physical and mental health of the orderees.

Kesbewa Magistrate's Court Community Corrections Officer Saman Thibbatuwawa and Mattegoda West Samurdhi Officer Y. K. This program, which was held with the participation of Mr. Elvitigala, was organized and coordinated by the Development Officer (Community Correction) of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat, G.V.N.P. Jayaratne, J.A. Wasana Jayasinghe, and the Development Officer of Mattegoda West, H. K. Deepa Dimuthu, who were involved in a group of 12 convicts who were sent for correction by the Homagama and Kesbewa courts..

Meegoda North Sarvodaya Bank Branch, in association with the Colombo National Blood Bank, successfully organized a blood donation camp on 26.10.2025 at the Deniya Community Hall, Meegoda.

Many donors from Meegoda and its surroundings joined in donating their blood, and the support of local residents and government officials was also received to make this event a success.
