Divisional Secretariat - Homagama

In view of the present economic crisis in Sri Lanka, with the aim of overcoming the food crisis, the Colombo District Secretary / Governor Pradeep Yasaratne, along with the "Aharin Sapiri Colombothotak" program, implemented in conjunction with the divisional secretariat divisions of Homagama, Kesbewa, Maharagama, Kaduwela, Padukka and Seethawaka in the Colombo district. With the aim of promoting gardening in the elderly and disabled homes, a gardening training program for elderly promotion officers and distribution of fertilizer and vegetable seed packets was conducted today (August 16) at the auditorium of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of Mr. B.A.D. Chinthaka and Mr. B.S Kekulavala, Assistant Divisional Secretary.

On the occasion of Nikini Pun Poya, "How to live happily in Buddhist environment and prepare a good generation of children?" An awareness program was held under the theme, with the contribution of psychologist Mrs. Bhagya Abeysinghe of the Preventive Education and Training Division of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board.

A Setpatha Ashirwada Bodhi Pooja was held for all the people including all Samurdhi Samiti members of Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division Navalamulla Grama Niladhari Domain at Navalamulla Standardarama Temple on Nikini Pura Pasaloswaka Poho Day.

Homagama Divisional Secretariat, Kiriwatthuduwa North, Samurdhi Praja Root Organization of Grama Niladhari Domain, Mageen Nikini Pura Pasaloswaka Poho Day held a blessing Bodhi Pooja at Moonamalewatta Subodharama Temple.

For Samurdhi officers of Matthegoda Samurdhi Zone of Homagama Divisional Secretariat, the importance of maintaining a peaceful life without disputes and the support that comes from mediation, for the empowerment of low-income earners, and the support that comes from mediation. A briefing was held at the Mattegoda Samurdhi Bank office last twelfth (12th) with the resourcefulness of the Export Development Officer Mr. Limali Gunasena regarding the duties of the Export Development Board to identify the beneficiary and non-beneficiary entrepreneurs and connect them to the export process.
