According to the concept of Colombo District Secretary / Governor Pradeep Yasaratne, the gardening started by the children of Diyagama East "Savimat" children's club, which is being implemented in conjunction with the "Aharin Sapiri Kolomthotak" gardening campaign between the Divisional Secretaries of Colombo District, was recently carried out by Child Rights Promotion Officer Tejanthiti.  With the participation of Mrs. Weerasena and Diyagama East Village Officer Mrs. R M D G K Rajasinghe, Development Officer Mrs. Jayani Pradeepa Amaratunga.

 An awareness program on drug prevention was conducted on August 08 for students belonging to the 8th grade section of Homagama President College under Homagama Divisional Secretariat along with skill-based group activities.  Bhagya Abeysinghe, Drug Education and Information Officer Dilhara Varagoda, Information Assistant Supun Udana and Prevention Education and Training Division Development Officer Sudara Priyanath with the resources.

With lyrics written by Mr. Nishanka Hapuarachchi and music composed by Mr. Rohana Dharmakeerthi, multi-purpose development assistant Ms. Prathanna Jayathilaka, who works at the Homagama Divisional Clerk's office, sings sumiyuru, and multi-purpose development assistant Mr. Tilan Jayakodi, with the trinity of direction, editing and cinematography.  And the multi-tasking development assistants launched the CD " Man Nubage Thawamath " and presented it to the Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B. A. D. Chinthaka at the auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat last Thursday.

 The value of a peaceful society and mediation for dispute settlement to the voluntary organization activists and community of Diyagama East Village Officer's domain in Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division with the resourcefulness of Ms. K.D. Himali Katugampala, the resourcefulness of the Mediation Development Officer, and the resourcefulness of the Export Development Officer, Mrs. Limali Gunaratne, regarding the export process.  An awareness program was conducted on August sixth (6) at Diyagama East Village Clerk's Office with the resource contribution of Productivity Development Officer Mrs. M.B.D Dias.

A merit-based drug prevention program for the students of Mullegama Sri Sucharithodaya Dhamma School under Homagama Divisional Secretariat was held last Sunday 31st with the contribution of Miss Sampath Priyadarshini Ratnayake of the Prevention Education and Training Division of the National Board of Dangerous Drugs.
