An awareness program on drug prevention was conducted on August 01 with skills-based group activities for four (4) students of the 8th grade section of Panagoda Parakrama National School under the Divisional Secretariat of Homagama. Officer Chandima Weerakkodi, psychologist Bhagya Abeysinghe and information assistant Supun Udana with the resourceful contribution.
A netball and volleyball training program for women officers working at the Homagama Divisional Secretariat was held on the 29th of July at the Homagama High College Sports Field in celebration of the sports day on 30th July.

According to the idea of Colombo District Secretary/Diplomat Pradeep Yasaratne, the song "Navidin Sada" was written for Mrs. Sujani Madhushika Hettiarachchi, who won the first place in the "Voice of Colombo" reality song competition held among the officials of the Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Colombo District and the song "Pahan Kanuwa Yata Adurui" written by Mr. Samantha Sri Udugodage who won the second place were presented to the District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne and to the Homagama Divisional Secretary Mr. B. A. D. Chinthaka at the auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat on July 28y by Mrs. Taxila Nimali Wickramarachchi, a noted writer and development officer attached to the Homagama Divisional Secretariat.
On the last 28th, the incentive was awarded to Homagama Divisional Secretariat Division, which contributed the most among the Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Colombo District, to the Social Security Pension Scheme implemented by the Sri Lanka Social Security Board, and to Mrs. L. D. Iresha, Development Officer, who contributed the most money. It was done at the auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of Colombo District Secretary / District Governor Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne.
Two family-based drug prevention programs for pregnant mothers at the Homagama Health Medical Officer's Office and Godagama Maternal and Baby Clinics were held recently with the resources of Mr. Supun Udana, Education and Information Assistant, Prevention Education and Training Division of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board.
