Divisional Secretariat - Homagama

In parallel with the awareness programs and Ayurvedic medical clinics conducted by the Ministry of Health's Local Medical Division on World Elderly Day, the program of the Homagama Divisional Secretariat was held at Sri Maha Bodhi Temple in Dolahena area on World Elderly Day.

In conjunction with the World Children's Day, an awareness program on personality development and drug prevention was organized for the ninth (9th) grade students of Panagoda Parakramabahu Vidyalaya by the invitation of Athurugiri Police Station on the last 7th at Panagoda Parakrama Vidyalaya. An awareness for the members of the Diyagama West Samurdhi Community Root Organization of Homagama Divisional Secretariat on "Local food that strengthens the body, protection from non-communicable diseases" was conducted on the seventh (7) at Diyagama Salavanodyanarama Viharasthana Hall with the contribution of the local Ayurvedic doctor Mrs. Mataji Dissanayake of Homagama Community Health Medical Unit.

The Homagama team won the runner-up in the recently held chess competition in the Disapati Cup sports tournament organized according to the idea of Colombo District Secretary / Disapati Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne.

In celebration of the World Elderly Day, the daily alms giving for the elderly in Galawilawatta North Grama Niladhari area of Homagama division was done on the sixth (6th) of October at Galawilawatta North Sunil Perumbuli Hall.
